Privacy Policy for Wifi FTP Server

Privacy Policy for WiFi FTP Server
Last Updated: June 2026
WiFi FTP Server respects your privacy. This privacy policy governs your use of the WiFi FTP Server mobile application created by the developer "WifiPasswordShow".
 1. Data Collection & Sharing This app does NOT collect, store, or transmit any personal information, user data, or files to the developer or any third party. All data management occurs strictly on your local device.
 2. Core Functionality & Local Networking The app functions exclusively as a local utility. It runs an FTP server directly on your device so that other authorized devices on the SAME local Wi-Fi network can access your files. Your files never leave your local private network through this app and are never uploaded to any external or cloud-based server.
 3. Permissions Used & Justification To provide its core utility, the app requires the following system permissions: All Files Access (MANAGE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): This broad storage permission is used solely to expose your device's file directories over the local FTP connection, allowing you to view and transfer your own files to a PC. Network & Wi-Fi State (INTERNET, ACCESS_WIFI_STATE, ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): These are required to initialize, host, and maintain the local network socket interface for the FTP daemon. Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE, FOREGROUND_SERVICE_DATA_SYNC): Used to keep the local server alive in the background, preventing connection drops or file corruption while a file transfer is actively in progress. Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Used to display an ongoing status notification so you always know when the server is running and can easily stop it.
 4. Network Security Access to your files is limited to devices on your local Wi-Fi network that match your device's local IP address and port configuration. For enhanced security, we strongly recommend securing your server with a custom username and password in the app settings, starting the server only on trusted private networks, and stopping the service when your file transfer is complete.
 5. Advertisements & Third-Party SDKs This app contains no advertisements. There are no analytics, tracking, or telemetry SDKs integrated into the codebase.
 6. Changes to This Policy We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any future updates will be posted on this page and will be accessible directly within the application.
